Aspö Domicile

Mute Swans AspöAspö mainly consists of bedrock that makes its topography rather hilly. The nature is diverse, being a mixture of the more wooded islands of the archipelagos further north along the Swedish East-coast and the more bare and rocky islands of the archipelagos of the West-coast. The Northern and Central parts are dominated by a pine tree forest, and the other parts by a deciduous forest, mainly of oaks, often being extended to the waterline. Due to the many meadows of these forests, there is a good mix of various biotopes. This is reflected in the variety of birds, butterflies, and other insects of the island. The photos on this page are meant to further portray the wildlife of this rich island nature.
